A canon divergent, selective RP blog for Serena following a collaborative fanplot for pokemon Z, set in post-game by default. Established June 1st, 2020, written by Kou (pronounced with a short ‘o’ sound). Mun is 21+ and is in alternating timezones (PST from March to November, and MST from November to March).
I try to keep consistent activity going throughout the week, but I will be working full-time and will only have time to get on before and after work on weekdays (along with mobile lurking from time to time). Free time will be limited, but those who I’ve talked with OOC before are more than welcome to ask for my discord for chatting/plotting purposes.
anyways sry yall for not being around much lately and being slow af to reply to messages…. this has been the ultimate week from hell, i am just straight up not having a good time and im so fucking sick of it all :’)
“Please don’t ever let me drive. Especially not a hoverbike, because I’ll be on it for all of ten minutes before getting flung off and hurting myself.”
Hey everyone, Kou here with a brand new, Orre-centered pokemon OC! If you’re interested in interacting, please reblog this post, or send a like my way so I can check out your blog!
All pokemon have access to their full movepool, but generally only use four in normal battles. Commonly used moves are listed first. Her pokemon also rotate, and she may have different ones on hand at any given time.
Merlin was Serena’s starter, having gotten him as a Fennekin. Even as a Fennekin, Merlin was a very intelligent and strategic pokemon. In the very beginning, he did butt heads with Serena at some points, wanting to do things his way. It wasn’t until Serena came up with an excellent strategy during a gym battle that he was able to start putting trust in her, and the two slowly became inseparable as they progressed through their journey.
He’s shown time and time again that he can be calm, even when backed into a corner. His calmness in those situations help Serena stay calm. They have extremely good synergy; Delphox and Serena speak through their minds, this being easy for Delphox since he’s part psychic.
Venusaur - Snack
Status - Alive
Nature - Relaxed
Characteristic - Often dozes off
Moveset - Petal Blizzard, Toxic, Venoshock, Petal Dance, Vine Whip, Synthesis, Leech Seed
Snack was Serena’s second starter that she got from Professor Sycamore, complete with a Venusaurite for when it evolved. She aptly named it snack after the little Bulbasaur was rummaging in her bag, taking out her snacks and eating them as she spoke to Sycamore. He’s a very relaxed and somewhat lazy pokemon, except in battles. He can pull his weight and be a fearsome foe, especially when he’s Mega Evolved.
Serena often lays on his back and naps with him, the soothing scent from his flower allowing her to fall asleep easy and without trouble. He’s really a gentle giant, allowing various smaller pokemon to also rest on his back and foliage.
Aegislash - Joyeuse
Status - Alive
Nature - Adamant
Characteristic - Likes to fight
Moveset - Sacred Sword, Iron Head, King’s Shield, Aerial Ace, Swords Dance, Night Slash
Joyeuse is one of Serena’s stronger pokemon, being her secondary ace only to Merlin. Joyeuse is a very serious pokemon, focusing intensely on training and battles. Even as a Honedge, Joyeuse always rared for a battle. She’d often train with other members of Serena’s team, pushing herself to continue even when she was tired.
Joyeuse was the one that cinched their victory over Diantha, able to hang on and take down the former champion’s last pokemon. Joyeuse has sensed the innate ability of leadership in Serena, and is why she works so hard under her care. She is also extremely protective of her trainer, disliking when people get close to her, especially when they have romantic intentions. It takes a while for her to warm up to someone.
Rose was originally a pokemon that Serena had found as an Eevee when she was camping out one night. She was starving and extremely skinny, and it seemed evident that the Eevee didn’t have anyone else around to take care of it. Serena gave her food, and the Eevee stuck around until the next morning and followed her. From there, Serena decided to take her with, knowing that she could give her the proper care.
Rose is extremely protective of Serena, more than the rest of her team. It took a lot of affection before Rose had evolved, and having that love and care was unlike anything she’s had before. She does everything in her power to keep Serena calm, gauging her emotions often, and soothing her with her energy when Serena gets wound up. While Rose does have a curious streak in her and wanders off, she will always, always come back to Serena if she senses any distress coming from her.
Goodra - Jello
Status - Alive
Nature - Timid
Characteristic - Alert to sounds
Moveset - Dragon Pulse, Poison Tail, Dragon Breath, Body Slam, Muddy Water, Power Whip, Aqua Tail
Jello is a very timid and shy pokemon. Serena had found him when he was just a Goomy, hiding under foliage. He was hurt, and it took hours of her coaxing him before he finally, slowly emerged and accepted her help. After that, he didn’t want to leave her side.
Despite his timid nature, Jello has shown great courage in battle, going toe-to-toe with Lysandre’s team many times and coming out on top. He likes spending time outdoors when he can, especially in the rain. Serena has to water him at times, just to avoid having him dry out.
Ampharos - Sunflower
Status - Alive
Nature - Rash
Characteristic - Capable of taking hits
Moveset - Discharge, Thunder, Zap Canon, Dragon Pulse, Thunder Punch, Thunder Wave, Power Gem, Fire Punch
Sunflower was given to her by her friend and rival, Aiden, following the death of her Lucario during her final showdown with Lysandre. She helped Serena in her grief, Serena greatly needing a distraction. Training Sunflower occupied her mind, allowing her to go back into her hobby and passion.
Sunflower is a reckless pokemon, charging head on at opponents that are bigger and even possibly stronger than her. She’s always one of the first in Serena’s team to step forward and tackle a challenge, putting forth 110% at all times. She’s good rivals with Joyeuse, the two often sparring together. It’s Sunflower’s goal to best her in a battle someday, without using Mega Evolution.
Lucario - Olympe
Status - Deceased
Nature - Brave
Characteristic - Proud of its power
Moveset - Aura Sphere, Power-Up Punch, Close Combat, Metal Claw, Bone Rush, Dragon Pulse
Serena got Olympe from the Tower of Mastery, after learning about Mega Evolution from Korrina. The Lucario had wanted to join her on her journey, and Serena gladly accepted. Olympe was a very loyal pokemon to Serena, able to know what she was thinking similar to Merlin. She also took on a mom-like role in the team, sparring and allowing Serena’s other pokemon to test their moves on her, and offering them encouragement.
Olympe was the only one brave enough to face down Lysandre’s Mega Gyarados in their final battle, pouring her heart and soul into doing everything she possibly could to stop it. Ultimately, stopping it had cost her her life, and she bled out in the basement of the Flare HQ and passed on. She has a grave dedicated to her at the top of the Tower of Mastery, Serena visiting often to place flowers and berries there.
On Rotation
Swampert - Loire
Status - Alive
Nature - Naughty
Characteristic - Alert to sounds
Moveset - Hammer Arm, Earthquake, Screech, Rock Slide, Surf, Muddy Water, Rock Throw
Loire was a pokemon given to Serena by Professor Birch during her visit to Hoenn. She loved the little Mudkip, and figured it would be good to have a water-type on hand to traverse the region's vast amount of aquatic areas and routes.
As a Mudkip, she had a bit of a mischevious streak in her, and she still does even as a Swampert. She tends to shoot water at people, or hop out of rivers to try and scare others. She's playful and silly, but she means well and doesn't mean any harm by it.
Aggron - Bastion
Status - Alive
Nature - Jolly
Characteristic - Capable of taking hits
Moveset - Headbutt, Protect, Autotomize, Iron Head, Iron Tail, Heavy Slam
Serena met Bastion during her travels in Hoenn, catching him when he was a small Aron. He was able to grow stronger and evolve thanks to her, and was a key player in a few of the gym battles they went through. He's incredibly sturdy and is the main line of defense for the team.
Bastion, despite his size, is a gentle giant. He enjoys being outdoors, and spending time with Serena and other members of the team. He's always happy to lend a hand to anyone who needs it, either to help them train, or defending those who can't defend themselves.
Metagross - Hyperion
Status - Alive
Nature - Serious
Characteristic - Good endurance
Moveset - Meteor Mash, Zen Headbutt, Magnet Rise, Iron Defense, Bullet Punch, Metal Claw, Hyper Beam
Hyperion was a gift from Hoenn's Champion, Steven Stone, after Serena defeated Wallace at his gym. She got them as a Beldum originally, though it wasn't until she got back to Kalos that it evolved into its final evolution.
In general, it is a very serious pokemon who comes off as unintentionally cold. Hyperion doesn't mean to be intimidating, it just is naturally. It does not mind being approached by others, as it is good at gauging who is and who isn't a threat. It is extremely intelligent and applies many strategies into battle, even able to give other pokemon pointers and tips on their own battling style to make them fare better against certain opponents.
Etamin - Salamence
Status - Alive
Nature - Lonely
Characteristic - A little quick tempered
Moveset - Fly, Dragon Breath, Crunch, Zen Headbutt, Flamethrower, Outrage, Dragon Claw
Serena met Etamin during her travels in the Crown Tundra south of Galar. She discovered him with a burnt wing, and was able to heal him using a Burn Heal and some Rawst berries. Overjoyed at having his ability to fly back, he decided to accompany Serena and leave the caverns that restricted his flying greatly.
He greatly enjoys taking to the skies and rocketing through the clouds as fast as he can, and he’s always happy to have a passenger with him whether it’s Serena or one of her friends. Just be careful - he tends to place you on his back by himself! It was how his mother placed him on her back, by gently placing her jaws around his back and lifting him onto her. With people, he bites them by the backs of their clothes and lifts them up that way.
Non-Battlers
Cerberus - Houndoom
Status - Alive
Nature - Modest
Charactertistic - Often lost in thought
Moveset - Inferno, Flamethrower, Foul Play, Crunch, Thunder Fang, Fire Fang
Serena first met Cerberus through the preservation and rehabilitation work she does in the Kalos region. He was a pokemon bred for fighting in a highly illegal underground ring, where other pokemon like him were mistreated and made to clash in fierce battles. The abuse he suffered became ingrained in his mind, and he was aggressive and unpredictable when the ring was busted and the pokemon there were rescued.
He became attached to Serena rather quickly, showing hostility to others still, but calmness towards her. With months of behavioral training and therapy, Cerberus grew to become more docile towards everyone. He does display aggression to other dog-like pokemon, though Rose is never far away to help calm that anger and instill peace into the Houndoom. After his life of tough battles, Serena wants him to just relax and enjoy the parts of life he missed out on, and Cerberus honestly doesn’t seem in a hurry to get back into the world of battling any time soon. For now, he’s content to lay in a shady spot and snooze.
Calista - Honchkrow
Status - Alive
Nature - Serious
Charactertistic - Thoroughly cunning
Moveset - Night Slash, Sucker Punch, Haze, Wing Attack, Dark Pulse
Calista is a direct descendent of the first Murkrow Yveltal had ever fed and befriended. It may not seem like a big deal, but Murkrow are a very loyal bunch and remember those who treat them well. Due to this, Yveltal amassed quite the following of the dark-type birds, and it has been this way for many milennia. Yveltal entrusts his most important work to Calista, and one of his orders was for her to watch over a young Serena. Yveltal realistically couldn’t be around all the time, but he knew his fate and hers would collide at some point.
She didn’t really understand why she needed to keep a close eye on the girl, as she wasn’t the type to attract danger. Even the wild pokemon Calista saw go near her never did it with malicious intent. Still, she was never one to disobey orders, especially from Yveltal, so she would keep an eye on Serena when she could. Calista often brought Serena trinkets and other objects that caught the bird’s eye. Even now, as a Honchkrow, she still sticks close to Serena. Serena has officially caught Calista as a precaution, but the bird is never confined to her ball. She’s amassed her own following of Murkrow that she can give orders to, although Yveltal’s orders are still above hers, naturally. All of the Murkrow seen in Lumiose and outside of the city are more than likely under her jurisdiction.

Hey! My name is Kou, I’m 26 years old, and I’ll be laying down some rules for y'all. :^)
Last updated: 12/27/2022
This blog is canon divergent, following the z-fanplot jocundcompany, shadesandrollerblades, and I have collaborated on together - This is Serena’s default mainverse. There are parts of ‘canon’ I have both intentionally (and accidentally) omitted. I am not trying to cram all of XY’s canon into one character.
No godmodding/powerplaying/metaing/etc – please don’t kill Serena without warning! I’ll definitely drop the thread and unfollow if that happens. Injury is fine within moderation; more serious things must be discussed beforehand.
No smut – Other NSFW topics such as violence and gore are okay! Smut is just something I’ve never been comfortable with. Of course, if situations arise where it does start to happen, I’m totally open to fading to black!
MINORS, DNI - I am not comfortable following/writing with minors due to my age. I prefer to interact with people who are 21+ ultimately.
Serena is MULTISHIP, but her most canon and mainverse ship is with Red - Other verses the two share such as Genshin and Hisui, she is singleship, but regular canon Serena is open to shipping!
I am EXCLUSIVE with a handful of muses - This means I won't follow back/interact with certain muses. To list them, I am exclusive with all of the muses listed on this blog (save for Blanc), Xavier, and Jasmine.
Some of Serena's pokemon ARE singleship - Merlin, Rose, Snack, and Cerberus are all singleship with Inari, Gleam, Quake, and Copycat respectively. It's not impossible to ship with the rest of her team; it is just very unlikely to happen in the narrative sense.
Speaking of ships, if you ship lacewoodshipping, kingsrockshipping, or kaloschampionshipping, DO NOT INTERACT WITH ME - It's gross and I WILL block your ass if I find out.
Mutuals only – I'm extremely selective in who I follow back for my own comfort. I likely will only to stick to following back friends, or people I've known in the community for a while. If I don't follow you back right away, or at all, please don't take it personally! I want to make my dash as comfortable as possible, and that comfort comes from established writing partners.
I DO NOT follow back duplicates of my muse - Sorry if it seems harsh, petty, or unfair, but it just does not make me as comfortable as I thought it did. This may change with time, but this is where I stand on it for now.
Please don’t reblog asks to continue – I prefer asks to be moved to a new post. Reblogging asks clutters the dash. Also trim your posts please
I’m open to other fandoms! – I have a lot of things I’m interested in, and chances are if I recognize the series your muse is from, I’ll follow back!
I don’t usually send in passwords – I’m extremely nervous about that kind of thing. Rules pages are the first thing I look for and read before I follow a blog.
I’m open to one liners and multipara! – I do take some time to respond to the latter, however. I tend to get easily distracted and I have things happen in my life sometimes.
Reblog karma is practiced here – Don’t reblog a meme from me without sending something, especially if it’s a headcanon meme! I always reblog from the source of the meme, so if you can’t think of something to send in, please reblog from the source.
All of my icons are sourced from official sources - Serena's icons are from the manhua 'I Belong to House Castielo', and are icons I have cropped and edited myself. The icons of her pokemon are sourced from nationalicondex and guiltfreeicons.

She's also enamored with rollerblading, having been into the hobby for 15 years now.

Pre-Z/Events of Z
tw: death, animal death
Serena was born in Kalos, in Lumiose City where she lived for most of her life. Her father was absent from her life before she was even born, leaving Grace to deal with the pregnancy and Serena’s birth all by herself. They had a lot of moments where they struggled, Grace’s savings from her races quickly running dry. Serena was always prioritized and put first, with Grace forgoing comforts and necessities for herself. Once Serena was enrolled in trainer’s school at age 5, Grace began racing again and was able to bolster her savings, allowing them to live more comfortably than before.
All of Serena’s life, she felt an invisible tug towards something she could never describe. Whispers in her mind and her dreams from the far eastern mountains of Kalos, as if being beckoned to them. Being so young, however, she follow that calling. At age 6, she met Yveltal for the very first time in Santalune Forest, after following the tug during recess at school. Her bond and connection to Yveltal was one that preceded her birth, being interwoven into fate itself. They wouldn’t meet again until she was 14. Despite that, Serena could still hear Yveltal speaking to her through her mind, his voice becoming more and more clear as the years went on. Their connection transcends being connected to the heart, their connection is one at the soul.
Serena was put into the spotlight at a somewhat young age, due to her mother’s great success and fame in Rhyhorn Racing. Being in the spotlight always isn’t good, though. Even if she was young, the media saw Grace’s daughter as an obstacle in the woman’s career, and once it was found out the father was absent, the media had a heyday with it. Seeing her mother being torn down, and being called names by people she didn’t even know instilled a deeprooted hatred towards the media that still exists in Serena today.
At age 13, her mother started doing less and less Rhyhorn races, desiring a quieter life. With money she earned and saved from her career-long win streak, Grace purchased a house in Vaniville and moved her and Serena there. She made friends in the town, and she would go on to pick her starter, a Fennekin, a year later. It was after then that Serena would deliver a letter from Sycamore, holding a request within. Grace encouraged Serena to go out and see Kalos and she did just that.
On her journey, she’d encounter many pokemon, earn the badges from the Gyms across the region, and have many encounters with a man called Lysandre. From the beginning, Serena held mistrust towards him, and it only grew worse after accidentally stumbling upon a conversation he and Diantha had. She pleaded to Sycamore and to other adults to look into it, but she was brushed off and wasn’t taken seriously. Because of this, Serena turned to Dani, Xavier, and Dani’s fiance, Reggie, where her concerns were listened to, giving her a chance to help them out in their investigations into a group called ‘Team Flare’.
After earning her badge from Olympia, Serena would learn of Lysandre’s plans to revive and fire the Ultimate Weapon. She’d rush to Lysandre Labs and find his four scientists there, defeating them in battle and then battling Lysandre himself. Following her victory, she’d learn he imprisoned a man called AZ, and would hear of a tale three thousand years old. Lysandre would then make her a promise. A promise that if she beat Xerosic in battle, that he would stop the weapon. A promise that she didn’t trust nor believe, but what choice did she have?
Serena candidly defeated Xerosic in battle, and following it, he gave her a choice. A choice between two buttons. One button would stop the Weapon, and the other would damn the entire world. And she chose wrong. In that one moment, Serena truly believed she doomed all of humanity by her mistake, only for Xerosic to laugh in her face and tell her that he would have powered on the weapon even if she was right.
In Flare’s Secret Headquarters would be where she’d face her largest hurdle thus far, even larger than getting her Mega Ring from the Tower of Mastery, and even larger than what she would face in the future; battling the Elite Four and its Champion.
While Xavier and Reggie were attempting to rescue Xerneas, Serena and Dani worked to free Yveltal. Everything went wrong for the former pair. Lysandre killed Reggie, and Xavier had to flee with Xerneas. At the same time, Serena and Dani worked to free Yveltal, with Serena battling the death god in a fierce fight. Thanks to Rose and the rest of her team, she was able to whittle away at the legendary and successfully capture it, holding Yveltal tightly in her care and foiling the plans Team Flare intended to use him for.
Lysandre would soon arrive, and while Dani engaged in physical combat with the man himself, Serena fought his team with her own. She was at a disadvantage with her team exhausted from the fight with Yveltal. Despite that, though, she was holding her own and actually winning, and it seemed Dani was getting the upper hand as well. Everything was going fine, until Lysandre revealed that he killed Reggie. From that moment on, everything became a tragedy in motion. Dani falters after the devastating news, and in that moment of weakness, Lysandre fatally wounds her.
He then ordered his Gyarados to attack Serena directly. Olympe, who was out and battling at the time stepped in between the attack and her trainer, which fatally wounded her as well, and ultimately killed her. With Olympe out of the way, Lysandre made an attempt on Serena’s life himself, strangling her. With seconds to spare, Xavier and Xerneas made their entrance and saved her from dying.
Everything was a blur after that. Xerneas had tried and failed to save Reggie, Serena and Xavier were working to take down Lysandre and his Gyarados once and for all, and Serena let Yveltal out of his ball in a moment of pure panic, overwhelmed and not knowing what to do besides fight. In the end, Yveltal was the one who revived Dani, with her becoming his ‘vessel’ and saving her from a permanent death.
After they got out of the Headquarters, Serena left with Olympe’s body in tow along with Yveltal. She walked and walked and walked until she couldn’t anymore. Serena found a nice spot to bury Olympe at in the eastern reaches of Kalos. While Olympe now has a memorial site at the top of the Tower of Mastery, her body is buried in a different location decorated with eternal flowers.
Serena also released Yveltal at this time, feeling a visceral pain in her soul as she did so, as if she were losing a part of herself. It was for the best, as governing death was an important part of the world. She was reassured that he would always be there if she needed him.
With everything said and done, Serena went back home to Vaniville and spent a few weeks at home, totally shattered emotionally and mentally with everything that happened. If it weren’t for her mom taking care of her in those weeks and giving her encouragement, she would have ended her journey there. After those weeks of recuperation, Serena set out for Snowbelle.
Once she got her last badge, Serena went and challenged the Elite Four with a ferocity unlike any other. Despite being down to five pokemon, she was able to crush the Elite Four and move onto the Champion. Her Aegislash, Joyeuse, ran through Diantha’s team, matching the rage and agony her own trainer felt.
Post-Z
After a year and a half of holding the Champion title, Serena couldn’t bear to hold onto it for any longer. Despite doing amazing things for the region and helping those who were affected by Lysandre’s scheme, being in Kalos made her feel nothing but despair and anxiety. She gave the title to Xavier, and after telling only a select few people, Serena left the region with Yveltal at age 15.
Most of her time away was spent in Hoenn, meeting another trainer named Wally, who was also bonded to a legendary like she was. They spent a lot of time exploring ruins and mythological sites with their dads in tow, and Serena even helped him find an Altarianite for his Altaria. The other portion of her time there was spent helping out at Birch's Lab, traveling the region, and collecting Hoenn's Gym Badges.
The other portion of her time away was spent in Johto’s Ilex Forest with Dani, the two women training together with Nighteye.
It took a few years before Serena returned to Kalos again, after which she became an assistant in Sycamore’s labs. She hadn’t fully forgiven him for not listening to her and the others after voicing their concerns, and their relationship, and her view on him was damaged. However, Mega Evolution is one of her greatest passions and an exceptional talent of hers, and she didn’t want to give up the chance to study and research it, along with pursuing some of her other passions, like pokemon conservation/rehabilitation.
Serena got back into some of her other hobbies as well, such as modelling, using all of the money she earned to fund Kalos’ pokemon sanctuary, Ever Seasons. The money she also earned as the Battle Chateau’s Grand Duchess also funds charitable causes Serena is particularly passionate about.
Having these passions and goals helped Serena slowly begin to heal over time, acting as a great distraction. She spent her late teenage years honing her battling skills and strengthening her bond with her team at the Tower of Mastery, and living a quiet life in her apartment in Lumiose.
A few years after that, she had been skating down one of the routes in Kalos with Rose, when someone’s Sylveon called out to hers. Serena wound up stopping and backtracking, getting to talking with the stranger while their Sylveon played together. It turned out that the person she was actually the legendary Red, a former Champion like herself. In talking together, Serena found out they shared a lot of the same opinions and thoughts, and she quickly found a friend in him.
She eventually showed him around Kalos, taking him to a number of tourist destinations and helping him navigate the unfamiliar region, being familiar with the towns and cities, and the language, of course.
They spent a lot more time together than Serena would have expected in the beginning. He would stay with her in her apartment whenever he was visiting, and they had many deep, late night talks. There was no need to keep up the hero persona around each other; they could simply be themselves, and that was enough. It was one of the reasons why Serena fell in love with him, able to see a side of him that no one else could.
It all came to a head during a partial lunar eclipse, in which Red professed his love for her, and Serena returned the feelings in full. Their relationship started on that chilly November night, and they began the new chapters of their life as a couple.
The first big step of their lives was Red moving to Kalos permanently, the two unable to bear being apart. As much as Serena liked her Lumiose apartment, she knew it wasn't going to be sustainable for them, especially with them having two teams of pokemon around. They found a beautiful home in Anistar, a city important to the two of them, and there was a large enough yard to accommodate all of their pokemon. Moving out of the city wound up being the best move, Serena feeling much more at peace in a smaller town, and far less paranoid.
Their next big step after that was marriage. Serena planned on proposing to him on the night of a full lunar eclipse, and it turns out he had planned the same. Their wedding took place on May 27th, 2022, in which Red officially became a Bellegrade.
Other Facts
• Serena is very, very good at rollerblading.
• Following her gaining the Championship title, she got into Rhyhorn Racing. While she was decent at it, she was nowhere as good as her mother was.
• She does fashion shoots and modelling from time to time. It’s something she greatly enjoys, and wants to keep doing for as long as possible.
• When she’s not modelling, she’s helping Sycamore in his lab with his studies on Mega Evolution. Serena has an uncanny knack for bonding with pokemon, an important and necessary thing for Mega Evolution. She’s Mega Evolved 12 pokemon now, and frequently searches around Kalos for new Mega Stones to use.
• Serena is absolutely terrified of Gyarados and Mega Gyarados. They send her into a total panic, throwing her back into the basement of Flare’s HQ all those years ago.
• There was a lot of blood shed in Team Flare's HQ that day, and large quantities of blood, whether it be her own or someone else's makes Serena panic. Not on the level of Gyarados, where she cannot move or think, but a panic where she is crying and hyperventilating.
• Serena is able to tell how strong a bond between a trainer and their pokemon is. The stronger the bond, the warmer the feeling gets, and she also feels an intense pressure on her. The weaker the bond, the more icy and distant she feels.
• Serena donates large quantities of money to Kalos' and Hoenn's preservation/conservation efforts, something which she is extremely passionate about.
• She has earned all 8 badges from Hoenn's League as well, but hasn't challenged the Elite Four, nor does she want to.
